Statement of Faith
At Kingfolk Co., our faith is the foundation of everything we do. We believe in the absolute truth of God's Word and strive to honor Him in all aspects of our work and lives.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. It is completely factual, serves as the final authority in all matters of faith and life, and is the foundation for truth. While we do not hold to one specific translation, we use a variety to study and understand Scripture.
God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is sovereign, all-knowing, all-powerful, and ever-present. He is working all things together for those who love Him.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross to atone for our sins, and was bodily resurrected on the third day. He is the only way to the Father, and salvation is found in Him alone. He will return again, though no one knows the day or hour.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and always acts in accordance with the will of the Father. His role is to guide, convict, and give believers discernment. We believe that all believers are given spiritual gifts for the edification of the Church and the glory of God.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. No one can earn salvation—it is a free gift of God. We believe in eternal security: once a person is truly saved, they cannot lose their salvation. However, a life that bears no fruit may indicate that true salvation was never present.
Humanity & Sin
We believe that all people are born with a sinful nature and are deserving of eternal separation from God. However, because of God's great love and mercy, He sent His Son to die for us, offering the gift of salvation to all who repent and believe. No one can be "good enough" to earn salvation—it is solely by God's grace.
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all true believers. The Church exists to equip believers, spread the Gospel, and bring glory to God. We believe in the importance of gathering as believers and being the hands and feet of Christ in the world.
Baptism & Communion
We believe that baptism is an outward symbol of an inward transformation. It is not necessary for salvation, but it is a public declaration of faith and obedience. We practice believer’s baptism - baptism after salvation.
We believe communion (the Lord’s Supper) is symbolic and should be taken with reverence and self-examination. We are called to reflect on Christ’s sacrifice and ensure we are not partaking with unconfessed sin.
Heaven, Hell, and the Afterlife
We believe in a literal heaven and a literal hell. Heaven is reserved for those who have repented and placed their faith in Christ. Hell is the eternal destination for those who reject Him. We do not believe in second chances after death—our decision in this life determines our eternity.
The End Times
We believe in the literal return of Christ but do not hold to a specific timeline regarding the rapture, tribulation, or millennial reign. We believe in a final judgment where non-believers will be judged, and believers will be rewarded by Jesus.
Christian Living & Discipleship
We believe that Christians are called to spread the Gospel and live in obedience to God’s Word. Prayer, Bible study, and obedience are vital parts of a believer’s daily life.
Marriage, Family, and Biblical Roles
We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman. The husband is called to be the head of the household, just as Christ is the head of the Church. Parents are responsible for raising their children in a Christ-centered, Bible-believing way.
Culture & the Christian Life
We believe that Christians are called to be in the world, but not of the world. We are to be set apart, avoiding things that do not glorify God. While some things are permitted, not everything is beneficial, and we must be discerning in how we engage with culture.
Spiritual Warfare
We believe that Satan and demons are real, as stated in the Bible. Spiritual warfare is an ever-present reality, but in Christ, we have authority over them. The enemy trembles at the name of Jesus.
Final Authority & Christian Unity
We believe that Christ is the ultimate authority. When it comes to doctrinal differences that are not salvation issues, we can agree to disagree while having respectful conversations. Unity among believers is important, as we are all called to love one another.
